Returns & Exchange Policy
At DIYHOMESPACE, your satisfaction is important to us. We follow the guidelines set out by the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act (CGA) and Fair Trading Act, and are committed to making sure our customers receive quality products.
✅ If your item is faulty or damaged:
If your item is faulty, damaged on arrival, or not as described, you are entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund, as per your rights under the CGA.
Please contact us within 7 days of receiving the product, and include:
- Your order number
- A brief description of the issue
- Clear photos of the problem
We will cover the return shipping cost for faulty items.
🔁 Change of mind returns:
Because our products are large and made-to-order or limited in stock, we do not offer returns or refunds for change of mind. Please make sure to review product specifications carefully before purchasing.
🔄 Exchanges:
If you ordered the wrong item (e.g. wrong size bracket), and it is unused and in original packaging, we may be able to offer an exchange.
- Exchanges must be requested within 7 days of delivery
- Return shipping costs are the buyer’s responsibility
- We reserve the right to refuse exchanges on used or damaged items
📦 How to return an item:

- We will confirm if the return/exchange is approved
- Pack the item securely and send it to the return address provided
- Refunds (if approved) will be processed within 5–7 business days
